Free seminar: Claims against solicitors

Robin Simon LLP is running this free seminar focussing on insurance, conduct and risk management around around claims made by clients.

Mistakes do happen and complaints and claims by clients and others are increasingly an expected part of life as a solicitor. However, many solicitors do not appreciate the complex insurance and professional conduct requirements that arise. The session aims to address the following questions:

  • When does a grumble from a client become a complaint or claim?
  • How should I deal with a moan/complaint/claim from a client or third party?
  • What if a mistake has been made but nobody has complained?
  • How is professional indemnity insurance relevant to me?
  • What professional conduct requirements apply?
  • Do I have a role in risk management?
